I help individuals, couples and polycules explore sexuality, desire and connection with honesty and curiosity. Whether you’re navigating ethical non-monogamy, exploring kink or seeking deeper intimacy in your relationships, I offer a safe, supportive space for sex therapy and relationship counseling — in person in the Bay Area or online across California and the world. Together, we’ll create new ways of relating that feel authentic, joyful and sustainable.

I’m Mar Ortmann, a licensed relationship and sex therapist for nearly 30 years. I help people reconnect—with themselves, with each other and with the joy of embodied, authentic living. I bring a calm, nonjudgmental presence and a wealth of clinical experience to my work. My practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches, trauma-informed care and a deep respect for the diverse ways people love, relate and experience pleasure.
